Dr. Julia Espel received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. Upon graduation she moved to Chicago. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and a chief resident year at University of Chicago Medical Center. She completed her Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. Her clinical interests include bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, sarcoidosis, COPD and asthma, smoking cessation, bronchoscopy and general pulmonary medicine. She strives to provide a balance of patient-centered compassionate care and evidence-based medicine.
